The Archdiocese of Miami offers a two year course to prepare lay men and women for commissioning by the archbishop for ministry as ecclesial lay ministers. Those members of our parish who have been commissioned by the Archbishop, together with the pastor and the deacon make up the board of ministers. This board meets once a month for supervision by the pastor an to find ways we can work together in the different ministries for the benefit of the parish as a whole. The board of Ministers differs from the pastoral council because it is action-oriented rather than vision-oriented. Our board of Ministers are: Alma López, Hospitality Ministry; Atiliano Estrella, Bereavement; Frank & Virginia Grillo, Pre-Catechumenate; Ana Hernández, Sick & Shut-ins; Joe Jorrin, Liturgy coordinator; Felicita Martínez, OCIA: Sponsor Formation; José a. Mendoza, Evangelization; Alan Scott, Hospitality; Rev. José Solórzano, Deacon; Cira Aguilar, Formation of Youth; Goldy Ascensio, Families in Crisis; Kathy Boyd, Adult Formation; Janett Campisi, Families in Crisis; Carmen Chacón-Chang, Religious Education; Augusto Martínez, OCIA: Coordinator; Ana Solórzano, Facilitator of Ministers; Néstor Sánchez, Spiritual Direction; Delia Vázquez, Young Adult Chaplin; Elisa Vitale, Baptism Preparation; Socorro Domínguez, Divorced/Seperated. This is not a complete list of the ministries of the parish; there are many other ministries and activities whose coordinators are neither clergy nor commissioned ministers.
