We firmly believe these people bring to the world a gift above and beyond what is considered valuable in today’s society. They are an irreplaceable sign of the true dignity of all human life and a challenge that calls all of us to heroic charity and love.

Respect Life serves the community in several ways:
First to help women in crisis pregnancies, furnishing them with real alternatives to abortion. Six area offices function to provide counseling, free pregnancy tests, material assistance, and emotional support to those in need.

Second, Project Rachel is a program of reconciliation and counseling for women who have had an abortion. It is available through in the Archdiocese of Miami through Respect Life offices. Addressing the second victims of abortion, it is a means of receiving the healing grace of God, as well as the necessary forgiveness through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Third, Respect Life feels that as Christians we have a responsibility to bring others the truths of the Catholic Church which are capable of leading all towards the “fullness of life” promised in Christ, and away from ideas, attitudes, and beliefs that only lead to self-deception, error and harmful decisions.

Fourth, We seek to educate others on critical life issues. We recognize the need to actively defend life through the instruction of its undeniable value against abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, capital punishment and all other attemps to demean it. Respect Life seeks to be an informing agent in the legislative process, promoting laws that reflect our Christian morality and our recognition of the value of every human life from conception to natural death.

Fifth, We also seek to be a witness for those most in need, a concern which springs from a decision to love the poor in a special manner. This is a love which is not exclusive and thus should not be interpreted as a sign of partiality or sectarianism. Rather, in loving the needy, the Christian imitates the attitude of our Lord.
