St. Stephen Church at 6044 SW 19th Street, Miramar, FL 33023 US - The Liturgical Ministry

The Liturgical Ministry

All who assist, in various ways, in the Mass and parish liturgies are liturgical ministers: Priests, Deacons, Ushers, Lectors, Altar Servers, Musicians and Choirs, Eucharistic Ministers, Decorators, etc. All are represented on the Parish Liturgy Committee, which is responsible for the enrichment, planning and coordination of our common worship - on Sunday and for special events. Why? To obtain and maintain a fully-active, and reverent participation in the life of the worship of the Church. It is Christ our Lord, who offers worship to the Father, acting in us who are His Mystical Body. However, the more intense and conscious our participation in worship, the more fully the effects of worship become evident: we are spiritually fed and grow in the life of our Lord and, together, give witness to the presence and action of our God, in the midst of our world. How? Everything that touches on our liturgical worship - from the arrangement of our church building to preparation of special events. In addition - recruitment and training of liturgical ministers, lectures, seminars, prayer meetings, etc. Also The Liturgical Mailbox, published in our bulletin, through which our people can understand why we worship as we do. To find out more, to offer comments or suggestions and to inquire into your participating more fully in worship through a liturgical ministry please call the rectory.
